Then they were neither able to stand (before the punishment), nor could they defend themselves.

فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِر۪ينَۙ

Fe mestetau min kıyamin ve ma kanu muntesirine.
