If they had wanted to come out, then truly they would have made some preparation for it; But Allah was against their being sent forth; So He made them fall behind, and they were told, "Sit among those who sit (inactive at home). "

وَلَوْ اَرَادُوا الْخُرُوجَ لَاَعَدُّوا لَهُ عُدَّةً وَلٰكِنْ كَرِهَ اللّٰهُ انْبِعَاثَهُمْ فَثَبَّطَهُمْ وَق۪يلَ اقْعُدُوا مَعَ الْقَاعِد۪ينَ

Ve lev eradul huruce le eaddu lehu uddeten ve lakin kerihallahunbiasehum fe sebbetahum ve kilak'udu meal kaidin .
