And when the Quran is read, then listen thereto with attention, and keep silence, that per chance (or possibly) you may obtain mercy.

وَاِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْاٰنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَاَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
