By the (winds) sent one after another,

2

Which then blow very hard in violent storms,

3

And drive (things and the clouds) far and wide;

4

Then separate them, one from another,

5

Then spread a Message,

6

Whether of justification or of warning

7

Surely, what has been promised to you (shall) really happen.

8

Then when the stars lose their light (and glow);

9

And when the heaven is torn apart;

10

And when the mountains are blown (to the winds) as dust;

11

And when (all) the messengers are appointed a time (to gather)—

12

For what Day are these Signs (of Allah) deferred?

13

For the Day of Sorting out (those destined to paradise from those destined to Hell).

14

And what will explain to you what is the Day of Sorting out?

15

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

16

Did We not destroy the people before (for their evil ways)?

17

So shall We make later generations to follow them.

18

We deal with men of sin in this way.

19

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

20

Have We not created you from a fluid (held) in low esteem?

21

Then We placed in a place of rest (the womb), securely placed,

22

For a period (of growth) depending (upon the need of the infant)?

23

(And) We decide (the need); For We are the Best to decide (things).

24

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

25

Have We not made the earth (as a place) to bring together

26

For the living and the dead,

27

And made mountains in there standing firm, high (in stature) and provided for you water that is sweet (to drink)?

28

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

29

(It will be said to the disbelievers:) "You go to that which you used to reject (the Fire) as false!

30

"You go away to a shadow (of smoke climbing) in three columns,

31

"(Which gives) no shade with coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Fire.

32

"Verily, it (Hell) throws sparks (of fire huge) as Forts,

33

"As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly). "

34

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

35

That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak (for parts of the Day),

36

And they will not be allowed to bring out any excuse (begging for mercy).

37

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

38

That will be a Day of Judgment! We shall gather you and those before you together!

39

Now, if you have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!

40

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

41

Verily, as to the righteous (people) they shall be in (cool) shades and springs (of water).

42

And (they shall have) the fruits— All that they wish.

43

(It will be said to the righteous:) "Eat you and drink you to your hearts content: Because you (have) worked (towards righteousness).

44

Verily, We certainly reward the doers of good deeds (Mushinûn), in this way.

45

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

46

(O you rejecters of the Truth, ) you eat and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, verily, you are the criminals (Mujrimûn, and sinners).

47

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people) who reject the Truth.

48

And when it is said to them, "Bow yourselves (in Islam)!" They do not do so.

49

And, woe (sorrow and suffering), that Day for those (people who reject the Truth.

50

Then, in what Message, after that (warning) will they believe?
